Donald P. Hinman, Ph.D., joins Allant as EVP & Senior Principal, Allant Professional Services

Naperville, Illinois, USA – October 11, 2005 – Allant, a Marketing Optimization solution provider, has announced today that Donald Hinman, Ph.D. has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Product Development and as a Senior Principal in its Professional Services Group.  Dr. Hinman is a well recognized and respected industry veteran with extensive experience across a broad range of marketing disciplines including database marketing, data analysis, modeling and product development.

Dr. Hinman was, most recently, Group Leader for Acxiom’s InfoBase Data Products and managed data acquisition and compilation, data sourcing alliances and product development. Don also consulted with a wide range of clients regarding the application of data within their marketing programs.  Prior to Acxiom, which he joined in 1994, Dr. Hinman was Vice President and Performance Group Manager for the Lifestyle Selector Division of National & Lifestyles, Inc (now Equifax DMS). Prior to that, he was Manager of Marketing Research Services at Arbitron Ratings Company.

Dr. Hinman’s role at Allant will be primarily focused on helping clients establish highly competitive data sourcing and procurement strategies that support advanced insight driven marketing solutions.  Allant has made considerable investments in building a market leading consulting and analytic practice with extensive thought leadership in the areas of predictive analytics, customer centric marketing practices, customer growth and retention, loyalty programs, acquisition marketing, budget optimization, direct to consumer marketing and business intelligence applications that drive enterprise growth initiatives using customer insights.  Dr. Hinman’s experience will ensure that Allant’s solutions, tailored to each client, are best in class from a data and analytic perspective.

Dr. Hinman received his Ph.D. in Mass Communication Research from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) in 1979.  His dissertation was "Factors Relating to Salesperson Productivity at Small Market Radio Stations."  His M.A. was in Broadcasting from the University of Mississippi in 1976, and his B.A. is in Communications from Mississippi State University in 1975.
