Steve possesses over 26 years of direct marketing software and client data quality solution development expertise. Steve is a recognized industry expert and published author affiliated with the research arms of several universities including University of Arkansas, MIT and DePaul.
At Allant, Steve will support the development of customer data integration and data processing utilities and tools that will support Allant’s Marketing Optimization solutions. Allant has recently launched its Prevalence® full service Marketing Optimization solution suite that utilizes a wide range of data management functions to support both analytic and operational marketing solution infrastructures for its clients. Data quality challenges persistently plague many client marketing initiatives and Allant takes a robust approach to providing both the data processing and data engineering support functions required to improve data quality in a broad sense in order to advance performance driven solutions.

Steve was most recently employed by Acxiom Corporation as a lead developer with the Global Data Division. His responsibilities included client system design and support, Internet data compilation, and the development of record linking and matching software and technologies including Acxiom’s Abilitec product. Throughout his tenure at Acxiom, Steve developed many client systems including complex customer ID / tracking solutions that supported enterprise customer recognition, data synchronization, data collection, householding / grouping and large scale data quality management processes.
Previously, Steve held the position of Vice President and Director of Software Engineering at May & Speh and was responsible for all of the direct marketing related software systems encompassing over 200 clients. In 1992, Steve designed and co-authored LPC’s MasterMerge commercial merge/purge software. Prior to that, Steve held the position of R&D Manager / Software Development at Selectronic Services, an in-house service bureau for R.R. Donnelley in addition to senior level programming positions within Marketing Electronics Corporation (Metromail), Martin Marietta Data Systems and Argonne National Laboratory.
